HARRISONVILLE – Cass County Health Department Director Andrew Warlen will leave to accept a position with Platte County in mid-October, Cass County Presiding Commissioner Bob Huston confirmed Thursday night.
Warlen had served in the position since December 2019, just a month before the COVID 19 pandemic became a major concern in the United States, and has served throughout the pandemic, at times advocating public health measures not supported by the County Commission.
Yet Warlen leaves with positive reviews from Huston.
“Andrew has done a great job, and will leave us much better than when he took over,” Huston said.
