Austin Kyle Buckley

Austin was born in Springfield, Mo., on October 12, 1995, to Richard Buckley (Amanda Davidson) and Michelle & Brian Hefner. He grew up in Raymore and deeply enjoyed trips to Easy Acres (family farm) in Pennsylvania. Austin attended Raymore-Peculiar High School before pursuing a career in the electrical field working as a Data Collector at Electrical Safety Specialist.

In his free time, he enjoyed many outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, camping, kayaking, mushroom hunting, target practice, corn hole, and hiking. However nothing compared to spending time with his loved ones around campfires, sharing jokes, stories, movie references, and watching his favorite sports teams. In his alone time, he loved taking care of Koda and his plants, practicing guitar, and using his craftsman skills to transform ordinary things into art.

Austin was preceded in death by Emerson A. Snee Jr. (Grandfather), Stephen Hefner (Grandfather), and Anita Buckley (Aunt). He is survived by his dog Koda, and a host of family members including his father, Richard Buckley and Amanda Davidson; sisters, Haley Wadkins and Emily Buckley; grandparents, Jerry and Sandra Buckley; mother Michelle Hefner and Brian Hefner; brothers, Aaron Hefner, Justin Buckley, Lexy and Emmanuel; sister, Celinda Hefner; and grandmothers, Kay Hefner and Roberta Snee. As well as very close friends Jeremy and Jessi Sommers.

Austin will always be remembered for his passionate, crafty, adventurous, hard-working, and fun-loving personality. His life’s impact is long-lasting and will be celebrated on October 21, 2023, at Joyful Sound Worship Center, 11400 E 218th St, Peculiar, at 4 p.m.
