Clifford Eugene Rinck

Clifford Eugene Rinck, 82, of rural Johnson County, Mo., passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit.

Clifford was born on March 15, 1938, in Willow Springs, Mo., the son of Claude and Ella Rinck. Clifford was a graduate of Fort Osage High School. He was baptized at Mount Olivet Baptist Church in Levasy, Mo., where he was a member.


Clifford was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Primarily stationed in Germany, he proudly served his country for 4 years from 1957 to 1961. On September 26, 1962, Clifford started work at Western Electric in Lee’s Summit, retiring after 34 years and 1 day on September 27, 1996. He married Judy Mae Stansberry in Holden at the Methodist Church on July 6, 1969. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 2019. Clifford was a deeply committed Christian and very focused on lifelong learning.


Clifford was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Ella Rinck; two sisters, Lorena Mae Rinck and Jean Lewis.


Surviving his passing are his wife Judy of the home; two sons, Jared and wife Michelle Rinck of Belton, and Jason Rinck of Kansas City; two brothers, Donald Rinck Sr. (Betty Jean) of Mission, Kan., and Robert Rinck of Raytown; two sisters, Alice Oltmann of Hephzibah, Ga., and Lola Vander Kolk of Fairway, Kan.


A private funeral service for invited guests was held on Dec. 15 at the Campbell-Cast Funeral Home in Holden, with Pastor Michael Wakeman officiating. Interment was at the Cobb Cemetery in rural Johnson County, Mo. Pallbearers were Jared Rinck, Jason Rinck, Justin Williams, Steven Rains and Wayland Wade. Honorary Pallbearers were Donald Rinck Sr. and Robert Rinck.
