Donald David (Dave) Saultz

Donald David (Dave) Saultz, age 76, of Belton, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Belton Regional Hospital.

David was born in Kansas City, Mo, on May 12, 1946, to Edward O. Saultz and Annie M. Schriever Saultz. David was one of nine children. After graduating from high school David served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam. David worked in the maintenance department for the Grandview School District for nine years and before that he worked at Cook Paint & Varnish Company in Kansas City for many years. He was a member of the VVA (Vietnam Veterans of America) and the VFW.


In life, David loved outdoor activities including hunting and fishing but also baled hay for many people in the Belton area. He was very proud of his pond that he had built on their residence and spent lots of time watching the wildlife from his sunroom and just taking in the outdoors.


David was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Annie Saultz; and four siblings.

He is survived by his loving wife Sharon A. Saultz of 35 years; sons, David Saultz (Ramon) and Bruce Miller, Jr.; daughters, Julie Saultz (Derrick) and Vonda Carroll (Jeff); brother, Bob Saultz; sisters, Patsy Minkler, Ellen Hood and Barbara Simmons; six grandchildren, Taryn (Abbie), Collin, Josh, Charles, Michael and Allison.
