Kimberly S. Dunn

Kimberly S. Dunn, 55, of Argonia, Kan., passed away in her home on October 12, 2023, surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with breast cancer.

Kimberly S. Dunn

She was born in Butler in 1968 to Robert and Patricia Ruff. Kim attended school at Ray-Pec and graduated in 1987. Kim was an avid reader and was a proud self-proclaimed “band nerd” where she met and held many lifelong friends. Kim attended Longview College after high school. She was employed in several places over the years, but her proudest was opening and running her own furniture store in Tennessee and working as a nurse in Kansas.

Kim was known for her kind soul and loving heart. She touched many lives in such a positive way. Her family was her life. There was nothing she wouldn’t so for them. She never turned anyone away that needed a shoulder or a soft place to land. She had many “adopted” children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren that she loved on over the years. Each of them held a special place in her heart. As Kim would always say “She loved you all infinitely!”

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Patricia, and one son, Sukhjit (Tuna) Singh Gill.

She is survived by her husband, Howard Dunn, of the home; her children Jason Dunn of Hays, Kan., Jacob Dunn (Jennifer) of Wichita, Rebecca Henry (Mike) of Argonia, Kan., Jayden Dunn of the home, and Jordyn Dunn of the home; her beloved grandchildren: Orrin, Bentley, Zane, Izabella, Ryver, Mack Henry, and Jaxon; as well as her brother Bobby Ruff (Jamie) Clinton, Mo., sister Melissa Ginther (Don) Warrensburg, Mo., and many nieces and nephews.

Kim’s Celebration of Life gathering will be held at noon on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 1046 N. McIntosh, Derby, Kan. A meal will be provided. We do request that you bring your own drinks and lawn chairs. Please text RSVP to 620-517-0867.
