Marjorie Nadine Ray

Marjorie Nadine Ray, 89, of Raymore, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 5, 2024.

Services were held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore. A private family inurnment will be held on a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in Butler, Mo.

Marjorie Nadine Ray

Marjorie was born in Independence, Mo., on August 16, 1934, to Maurice and Mary Smith. Marjorie graduated high school and was joined in marriage with her late husband Rodney on October 9, 1953. Their union was blessed with three children. In life, Marjorie was a woman of Methodist faith and for many years attended the Virginia Methodist Church with her husband up until his passing.


Marjorie loved playing cards with friends and found the most joy when she was spending time with her beloved family. Following Rodney’s passing, Marjorie also filled some of her time working part time for Shelter Insurance in Raymore, which she very much enjoyed.


Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Rodney Ray; parents, Maurice and Mary Smith; and three sisters, Irene, Faye, and Mildred.


Cherishing Marjorie’s memory are her three loving children and their spouses; Tammy Bowers (Emery), Kevin Ray (Kay), and Janelle McKinley (Richard); six grandchildren, Laura Ray, Angela Ray, Elizabeth Johnston (Mark), Vince Bowers, Chad McKinley (Maggie), and Kalyn Covington (Shaun); 12 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
