Nancy was born in St. Louis on Feb. 3, 1939, to Edgar and Cleo Moody. At the age of five she moved with her family to Kansas City where she grew up. She graduated from Center High School in 1957.
Nancy worked at Allstate Insurance Company and Hallmark Cards as a keypunch operator and office worker. During those years she enjoyed traveling with friends as often as possible.
