Ronald Lee Lacy, 85, of Raymore, passed away at home on Sunday, March 31, 2024.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Cullen Funeral Home, 612 W. Foxwood Dr. Raymore. Funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1800 M-150 Highway, Lee’s Summit. Ronald will then be laid to rest at Raymore Cemetery. It is at the request of the family that attendees not feel compelled to dress formal, rather be comfortable for services.
Ronald was born in Ketchum, Okla., on July 15, 1938 to Bruce Daniel Lacy and Myrtle Ivy (James) Lacy. After high school, Ronald honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for four years.
He worked various jobs however primarily he was a computer programmer with USDA for many years. In life he was a man of Catholic faith and a parishioner of Holy Spirit Catholic Church for many years where he was also held various ministry roles. Ronald was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, a member of the American Legion Post No. 488 in Belton, and very much involved throughout the Raymore community. Ronald also enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Myrtle Lacy; daughter, Judith A. Romig; three brothers; and one sister.
Here to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Mary Lacy; two sons, James L. Lacy Sr. (Sandy) and Daniel J. Lacy (Rebbecca); daughter, Deborah L. Young (Greg); nine grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
