Tommy was born in Fayetteville, Ark., on April 15, 1974, to Paul Hogan and Peggy (Falkner) Hogan. After graduating high school from North High School (Des Moines, Iowa), Tommy enlisted in the United States Air Force, honorably serving his country for seven years. Tommy was preceded in death by his brother, David Hogan; maternal grandparents, Robert and Norma Falkner; and paternal grandparents, Thomas Hogan and Patsy Cassady.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Melissa Hogan; three daughters, Kailee, Ashley, and Amanda Hogan; parents, Paul and Peggy Hogan; brother, Paul Hogan (Carla); and three nephews, Liam, David, and Zane.
