Virginia Higgins Mosby

Virginia Higgins Mosby of Belton, passed away Nov. 7, 2018.


She was born Jan. 7, 1928, to Joe and Annie Higgins. She married the love of her life, Leo Mosby, who preceded her in death in January 1992.


Also preceding her in death were her parents, Joe and Annie, sister Fay, brothers Gene and Ted and good friend Loretta Gray.


Virginia was active in Girl Scouts, ran the baseball concession stand, volunteered in the local hospital and was the first volunteer in the Belton Historical Society Thrift Store.


Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Tootle (Ray); son, Jimmy Joe Mosby (Mary); grandchildren, the Tootles, Michelle (Gary Sapp), and Brian (Kathleen); the McBrayers, Shawn (Brandi), Brian (Lesly) and Jeremiah (Betsy); great-grandchildren Laney, Gentry and Colby Tootle, Ben, Joey, Raquel and Brett McBrager; sister-in-law Faye Wallace, and nieces and nephews.


Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m., and memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 611 Chestnut, Belton.
