CASE COUNT JUMPS TO 6 IN CASS COUNTY

HARRISONVILLE - The Cass County Health Department has confirmed two new positive cases of COVID-19 in Cass County as of 5:30 p.m. Friday.


The newest cases are located in Belton and Raymore, and brings the total number of confirmed positive cases in Cass County to six. All patients are currently in isolation, following the guidance of the CDC. Both Belton and Raymore recorded their first cases on Thursday.


The Cass County Health Department continues to work with the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) and the CDC to identify and contact people who may have come into contact with the individual while they were infectious and will monitor them for fever and respiratory symptoms. No other information will be provided about the patient.


If you suspect that you have COVID-19 or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, call your healthcare provider to let them know before seeking care. It is critical that your provider is aware that you may have COVID-19 prior to your arrival at a healthcare facility, and that you follow all instructions for arriving at a healthcare facility.


With cases becoming more widespread, the Cass County Health Department will no longer be reporting the locations or issuing press releases for new confirmed cases. The current case count for Cass County will be available on the Cass County Health Department’s website (https://www.casscounty.com/2450/COVID-19) and will be updated daily, Monday-Friday.
