HARRISONVILLE - The Cass County Health Department is denying a claim earlier this evening by Gov. Mike Parson that a second individual has tested positive for COVID 19 in the county.
"Just for clarification, as of 8:30 p.m. on 3/17/20, Cass County has only one individual who has tested positive for COVID-19. Any new cases will be announced by an official statement on our social media and website as they are confirmed," the department posted on its Facebook page.
In his daily press briefing on the COVID 19 crisis, Parson listed the counties that had positive tests for the virus. In both his written summary and his verbal address, Parson said Cass County had two positives so far.
