Crews will repaving the roadway surface of portions of northbound Interstate 49 at State Route C/J and Peculiar Way this week. This work will require various closures in the area. Motorists may need to seek alternate routes. All work is weather permitting.
Thursday, Sept. 29
Crews will CLOSE right most lane of northbound I-49 and the on and off ramps at State Route C/J at northbound I-49 beginning at approximately 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, until approximately 6 a.m., or until the roadway is drivable.
Friday, Sept. 30
Crews will CLOSE the right most lane of northbound at Peculiar Way and the on and off ramps at Peculiar Way and I-49 beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, until approximately 6 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, or until the roadway is drivable.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can be moving operations, such as striping, patching or mowing. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
