Limited meal delivery service begins in Belton

The Belton Emergency Management Agency has established a limited delivery service in response to the COVID 19 pandemic.

This service will be for those elderly and/or those with special needs, and is available to Belton residents only, according to Lt. Dan Davis of the Belton Police Department.

While having family and/or friends assist in this time of need is always preferable, those that are elderly or have special needs and have no other way to obtain needed items should call the Belton Police Department’s non-emergency number at 816-331-5522. They will advise you of the procedures to follow and get your delivery underway.

Deliveries will be made to Belton residents with permanent residential addresses only.

Emergency Management Officers will be in uniform and their vehicles can be identified by Emergency Management logos. Emergency Management Officers will knock or ring the doorbell. Once someone responds, the officer will leave the items at the door. Officers will not enter any residence due to health and safety issues.

The delivery schedule will be as follows:

Week Day Schedule

Monday-Friday after 5 p.m.; deliveries will stop at 8 p.m. All calls for orders made after 4 p.m. will be delivered the next day starting at 5 p.m. or the scheduled start time.

Weekend Schedule

Saturday and Sunday deliveries will begin at 10 a.m. and will stop at 3 p.m. All calls for orders made after 2 p.m. will be delivered the next day starting at 10 a.m. or the scheduled start time.
