Main Street Theater’s winter production is a holiday farce, “Sorry! Wrong Chimney!” written by Leo W. Sears and Jack Sharkey.

The entire cast of characters wonders what is the best way to deal with “the situation” without breaking the law. From left, Karen McLaughlin, Chad Kawakami, Peggy Mullinix, Jeff Hartnett and Stacy McCann, with Mark Mullinix as Santa and Alan Palmer as the police officer. This holiday farce will lift your spirits!

Newlywed David is moonlighting as a department store Santa so he can buy his wife an expensive gift for Christmas. When his wife discovers his Santa Claus suit in the closet, she begins to suspect that he is a local Santa burglar stealing from her neighbors.

Nosy, well-meaning friends contribute to the confusion but when the notorious burglar Kris Kreigle, his gun toting fiancee and a confused police officer enter the picture, it adds up to a rollicking tale that is hilarious Christmas entertainment.

Our hometown community theater features artists from the greater Belton area. Set builders, Gary Hibbs, Dewaine Lewis, Ron Branan and Dennis Hull have created the scene for our Belton actors. “Sorry! Wrong Chimney!” features Karen McLaughlin, Chad Kawakami, Peggy Mullinix, Jeff Hartnett, Stacy McCann, Mark Mullinix and Alan Palmer. These actors will have you in stitches!

“Sorry! Wrong Chimney!” opens Friday, Dec. 6 and closes Sunday, Dec. 22. Performances are Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m.
